Rezension von Raphaela Christa und ihr Freund Kiernan freuen sich auf ein erholsames Wochenende in einer Lodge in den Rocky Mountains, doch schon die Anreise wird zur Katastrophe. Bei einem Stop verirren sich beide in einem plötzlich aufziehenden Schneesturm. Christa schafft es mit letzter Kraft zu einer kleinen Hütte in der auch der Rest ihrer Reisegruppe Zuflucht gefunden hat, Kiernan bleibt im Sturm verschollen. Doch auch die Hütte bietet nur trügerische Sicherheit, denn bereits in der ersten Nacht gibt es einen Toten und der gestrandeten Reisegruppe wird klar, dass jemand Jagd auf sie macht. Nach dem unerträglichen "Ghost Camera"wieder eines von Coates besseren Büchern. Zu Beginn spannend mit beklemmender Atmo und teilweise auch sehr blutigen Szenen, nur leider ist einem ca 100 Seiten vor dem überraschenden Twist Finale klar, was da vor sich geht. Schade, dass die "versteckten" Hinweise doch etwas zu offensichtlich ausfallen, sonst wär es ein wirklich gutes Buch.

Then the ring he was going to propose to her and how sad she was when she found out that she found his teeth in the window sill and how the heads were placed on the tree it was very spine chilling
