Rezension von JulianeDie vielen, vielen Referenzen zu Jane Austen waren ganz wunderbar! Auch die Prämisse, dass Lexi und Sam beide Buchhandlungen haben, die miteinander konkurrieren (Hallo „E-Mail für dich“). Ich lese gern Bücher über die Buchliebe und auch das Enemies zu Lovers Trope gehört zu meinen Favoriten. Leider überzeugte mich dieser Roman nur im ersten Drittel. Danach wurde es für mich zu absurd und unnachvollziehbar. Ich empfand keine Empathie gegenüber Lexi, und Sam konnte ich bis zum Schluss nicht greifen. Was ist er für ein Typ, er war charakterlos und viel zu wankelmütig. Das Ende ärgert mich sogar: Auflösungen geschehen viel zu einfach und realitätsfern. Dem gesamten Roman fehlt es an Tiefe und Relevanz, es ist eine Spirale - ständig wieder das gleiche Geschehen, nur etwas dramatischer.
