This was my first Sophie Cousens book, and while I appreciated the witty critique of "optimized" dating through the AI character, the tone felt disjointed. The Oxford reunion setting and the tension with Sean were highlights, but the high-concept robot plot eventually felt more like a gimmick than a cohesive story. Great for those who like experimental tropes, but it left me wanting a bit more emotional groundedness.
