Rezension von Raphaela Serienkiller Edmund Cox ist nach seinem Aussbruch aus dem Gefängnis auf dem Weg in seinen Heimatort. Er will zurück zum Hollow River, zurück um den River Man zu treffen und die Belohnung einzufordern, die ihm seiner Meinung nach für seine Taten zusteht. Doch er ist nicht allein. Dicht auf seinen Fersen sind der Polizist, der ihn beim ersten Mal verhaftet hat, ein Privatdetektiv auf der Suche nach einem von Cox Opfern und eine junge Frau mit einer ganz eigenen Agenda. Die Fortsetzung von "Gone to see the River Man" knüpft zeitlich nahtlos an den ersten Teil an. Die Story liest sich wie ein Fiebertraum, vor allem wenn die Reisegruppe sich der Hütte des River Man nähern wird es blutig surreal. Wie schon im ersten Teil gibt es in Trianas Geschichte kaum einen anständigen Charakter, so gut wie jeder ist Abschaum, umgeben von größerem Abschaum. Es ist dreckig, brutal und Triana lässt mal wieder kaum ein Tabu Thema aus. Allerdings ist er immer noch einer der wenigen Autoren, die es im Extreme Horrorbereich schaffen, all das in eine spannende, zusammenhängende Geschichte einzubinden.
