F., en el año 1968 se traslada a Europa, para después establecerse en Nairobi. Después de volver a la capital mexicana, decide trasladarse a vivir a una casa en un bosque de a orillas del lago Zirahuén, en Michoacán. En 1995 es secuestrada, y recoge esa experiencia en la novela "Nueve madrugadas y media". En el año 2002 empieza a sufrir los dolores causados por una artritis reumatoide, lo que la lleva a escribir en el año 2004 "Diario del dolor". En diciembre de 2004 se le detecta un cáncer de hígado y ganglios en estado avanzado, falleciendo a las tres semanas.
