A classic for all time. A translation for today."There is an old world formality to Chris Jansen’s translations, an expression not modern-casual but ancient-tight, drawing us immediately into the startling jungle of Neruda’s poems. This slim volume is secretly vast, a collection of rare coins gathered reverently from one of the twentieth centuries greatest poetic triumphs. Read one a day then start again.
