Rezension von LucaHeartwarming, romantisch, humorvoll und traurig und noch so viel mehr. Tolle Geschichte mit kleinen Twists und Tragik aber es bleibt stetig von allem etwas. Tolle Charaktere. Will jetzt wohl auch gernen einen Buchladen auf einer Insel eröffnen!
Rezension von EliseIch bin durch Zufall online auf dieses Buch gestoßen, nachdem mir „Morgen, morgen und wieder morgen“ von Gabrielle Zevin so gut gefallen hat und habe das Buch als „Backup“ in den Urlaub mitgenommen, falls mir der Lesestoff ausgehen sollte. Zum Glück war das der Fall, denn die Geschichte von einem mürrischen Buchhändler auf einer abgelegenen Insel hat mich absolut überzeugt und das nicht nur, weil eine Buchhandlung auf einer Insel mein absoluter Lebenstraum ist! Dieser Roman steckt voller Liebe. Nicht nur die Liebe zu Büchern, sondern (und vor allem) die Liebe zwischen Menschen, die sich zwar nicht gesucht, aber dennoch gefunden haben: Väterliche Liebe, kindliche Liebe, die Liebe in einer Männerfreundschaft, späte Liebe und romantische Liebe. A.J. Fikry konnte ich am Anfang nicht ausstehen, aber mit jeder Seite ist er mir ans Herz gewachsen.
