Rezension von DeborahHoly Shit – dieser Cliffhanger am Ende hat mich komplett sprachlos zurückgelassen. Juno Dawson hat es einfach schon wieder geschafft, einen Abschluss zu schreiben, der einen völlig zerrissen zurücklässt und sofort nach dem nächsten Band schreien lässt. Nach dem letzten Kapitel wusste ich ehrlich gesagt nicht, wohin mit mir. Insgesamt ist dieses Buch wirklich sehr gelungen. Der Einstieg ist – wie schon im vorherigen Band – etwas langsamer, was vor allem daran liegt, dass man sich erneut in die vielen Charaktere und die zahlreichen Perspektivwechsel einfinden muss. Das kann anfangs etwas zäh wirken, zahlt sich aber definitiv aus. Besonders spannend fand ich, dass diesmal gleich mehrere neue Perspektiven hinzukommen. Durch die Sichtweisen von Ciara, Theo und Luke lernt man diese Charaktere deutlich besser kennen, bekommt neue Einblicke in ihre Gedanken und Motive und versteht viele Zusammenhänge auf einer ganz anderen Ebene. Auch die bereits bekannten Figuren kommen dabei nicht zu kurz, sondern werden weiter vertieft, was die Geschichte insgesamt sehr rund macht. Die Handlung gewinnt mit jeder Seite an Tempo und Intensität – und endet schließlich in einem absolut krassen Cliffhanger, der einem den Boden unter den Füßen wegzieht. Ich bin extrem gespannt, wie es weitergeht, und freue mich jetzt schon riesig darauf, Band 3 zu lesen.
Rezension von Laura HolzmeyerIt was a pretty slow start for me, but the second half just did it for me. So my advice to everyone, who is having a hard time or thinking of DNFing, please don't!!! I was gasping at the end, as to be expected based on the first book. Like what the hell is going on?! Big love for Juno Dawson! I can't wait for Human Rites
