Rezension von JennyMal eine ganz andere Herangehensweise an ein Buch :) Spannend bis zum Schluss. Fands auch schön, dass von verschiedenen Personen aus geschrieben wurde. Heftige Themen, die dort verarbeitet werden, aber trotzdem so interessante Entwicklungen und Gedankengänge!
Rezension von Lea-SophieIch habe “die Namen” vor zwei Tagen beendet und kann immer noch nicht in Worte fassen, was dieses Buch mit mir gemacht hat. Wie der Titel schon sagt, handelt das Buch von Cora, die 1987 auf dem Weg zum Amt ist, um die Geburt ihres Sohnes und damit auch seinen Namen anzumelden. Und da fängt das Dilemma auch schon an… Ihr Mann Gordon, ein sehr angesehener Arzt, möchte, dass sein Sohn nach ihm benannt wird, da dies eine Tradition in seiner Familie ist. Die Tochter Maia möchte, dass er Bear heisst und Cora selbst bevorzugt den Namen Julian. Sie ahnt nicht, wie sehr die Namensgebung sein ganzes Leben beeinflusst.. Dieses Buch ist so besonders.. es wird aus 3 Perspektiven geschrieben und diese Perspektiven beinhalten die 3 “Leben” die der Sohn mit den verschiedenen Namen durchlebt - einmal als Gordon, als Bear und als Julian. Ich will gar nicht zu viel sagen, es ist sehr emotional, es werden harte Themen behandelt und wir kriegen in Zeitsprüngen (jeweils 7 Jahre) das gesamte Leben von Gordon/Bear/Julian erzählt. Ich hab’s absolut geliebt ❤️
