Rezension von Magdalena PoirierWer eine realistische Geschichte über die deprimierende Perspektivlosigkeit einer « alten Jungfer » mittleren Alters in den patriarchalen Strukturen des letzten Jahrhunderts sucht, wird hier fündig. Den Ton des Buchs ist grau in grau und die Perspektivwechsel, welche die egoistischen und beschränkten Motive und Ansichten anderer Charaktere beleuchten und auch, wie sie die Protagonistin sehen, sehr überzeugend. Niemand hier ist wirklich sympathisch, das Ende war für mich beim Lesen enttäuschend, bleibt aber rückblickend der grauen unaufgeregten Tristesse des Gesamtwerks treu.
