The witch agrees, and soon an unexpected bond develops between them. But the spells are much harder than Grace expected, and when a monster from the witch’s past threatens the home Grace has built, she may have to sacrifice more than her magic to save it.

I didn't expect to enjoy it so much. It was full of whimsy and coziness and fun that reminded me of childhood. With this book, I was reminded to not let the shadows of the world dim your light and to not limit yourself to be just one thing. I loved it. It was like a warm hug. Everything about it made me relive all my childhood memories, the ones that had me believe in magic, in the importance of family and friends, and in the feeling of belongingness.
