She’s good at achieving her goals…College senior Sabrina James has her whole future planned out: graduate from college, kick butt in law school, and land a high-paying job at a cutthroat firm. Her path to escaping her shameful past certainly doesn’t include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she’s willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes, one night is all it takes for your entire life to change. But the game just got a whole lot more complicated...Tucker believes being a team player is as important as being the star. On the ice, he’s fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer. It doesn’t hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes. The problem is, Sabrina’s heart is locked up tight, and the fiery brunette is too stubborn to accept his help. If he wants a life with the woman of his dreams, he’ll have to convince her that some goals can only be made with an assist.

I really, really liked the goal. Tucker was a really amazing guy and also a really relatable and just really patient guy. I think his character just made everything work because Sabrina obviously, like, really relatably had a really bad past and has a hard time with her jobs and stuff like that. Um, I think the first hookup and stuff was pretty only like sexual, but then it became really deep, especially on Tucker's side. Sabrina was a long time really scary to say it, which at some point annoyed me a little bit, but it was also like relatable because of her past. I think at some point it got a little bit too repetitive and I was a little bit annoyed and impatient for Sabrina to like open up to Tucker. But I think his actions with like buying the house, wanna be near to her, stuff like that, also the emotional stuff, it made everything so real and him caring about Sabrina the whole time made everything, like, bring everything together really much. I think Sabrina deserved all of it. I think something inside her healed and I'm really happy for her because she deserves it. She and little Jamie, and yeah, it was really cute.

WHAT WAS THIS??? To start off with a positive aspect - I liked that she handled Harvard Law School despite having a child. But that‘s it. Everything else was horrible. First of all, the one thing that annoyed me most: Why was everybody talking about her destroying Tucker‘s life by keeping the child?? It needs two to get pregnant, so two bear the responsibility for possible consequences after having sex. So imo, it‘s not an option for Tucker to help with the child, it‘s his duty!!! Thanks to Carin pointing this out twice. What‘s wrong with the rest??? Especially, what was wrong with Tucker‘s mother? I understand that she‘s worried about her son having a child so early, but how can she accuse Sabrina for this all the time. Especially because she was a single mother herself. What happened to girls support girls??? Then, there were a lot of smaller things that I disliked: • The Name: James Tucker??? What name is that? And further Tucker won with that horrible suggestion even the debate about the surname. •Why was he so keen on opening a car‘s door for Sabrina? It‘s okay one time at a date. But all the time? Please just help with the important things!! •Tucker concludes amongst others from the symptome that she wasn‘t on her period for 3 months that she is pregnant. However, when being on birth control pill, the „period“ does not indicate a pregnancy. It happens because of the sudden change in hormones. It‘s not a given indicator for a pregnancy. •At the end when they are having sex again, they do not use a condom because she is on the birth control pill again. But wait - how did she get pregnant in the first place?? I have to say, I don‘t remember much of the first part of the book. Especially, because we already knew from part 3 that Sabrina will get pregnant, it was kind of boring.
