Rezension von FelixDie Dungeon-Ebene ist eigentlich ganz interessant, aber anfangs braucht es einen Moment, bis das Geschehen an Fahrt aufnimmt. Dafür passieren in Teil 4 aber viele, sehr spannende Sachen, die über das eigentliche Level-Geschehen hinausgehen und wichtig für das große Ganze sind. Mein aktuelles Ranking der Reihe: 1. Rezension von Elias DolecekI will never not complain about Dinniman’s prose but I will admit that it serves a purpose and does so exceptionally well: tempo. If you read like me, you will pick up the book and spend half a page feeling like the book punched you on the nose and then you will be hooked. And done for. And suddenly you will have read 600 pages. It is insane. Really. What Dinniman also does is throw a metric ton of information at you and then you have approximately half a second to get any of that before he runs away with you. Sometimes I only get half of it but it still works. This is book four of the series and it’s bigger and crazier than ever before. There’s always hints of more stuff happening in the background (I am insanely impressed that Dinniman manages to keep track of all that) and you can FEEL the net tighten. I know of no other author that quite manages to do the same.
