A small-town faking dating romance from the bestselling author of Flawless and Wild Love. Stefan Dalca is infuriatingly handsome and annoyingly persistent. We're supposed to hate each other, but apparently he didn't get the memo, because he's been asking me out for years. And I always say no. Until today. Today he has something that I desperately need - today, he's my saviour. Our time together starts out as a simple transaction: three dates, no touching, no telling anyone - and definitely no falling in love. But with every intimate conversation, and each stolen glance, the tension between us builds. The way he looks at me gives me butterflies. And when he finally touches me? We sizzle. Stefan makes me feel seen in a way no other person has before. He cherishes my words as passionately as my body. He makes me laugh, he makes me blush. He's not the villain he's been made out to be. And suddenly I find myself longing for him in a way the people closest to me wouldn't approve of or understand. Giving in to Stefan Dalca is playing with fire. But with him I don't even mind the heat.

#TheFrontRunner was a pretty easy and enjoyable read💚 It’s the kind of book you pick up “just for a few pages” and suddenly you’re way further in than you planned🤓 Once again, Elsie Silver’s writing made everything feel effortless and addictive, which I really appreciated! I kinda loved Stefan🙈 His persistence toward Mira stood out in the best way possible and never crossed into anything uncomfortable or toxic❤️‍🔥 He was patient, devoted and honestly such a green-flag male lead. Stefan truly carried the story for me with his humor, determination and emotional depth. Mira was also amazing😇 I really liked the way she slowly fell in love with Stefan and the way she talked about him - it felt genuine and soft🫶🏼 That said, I didn’t connect with her as deeply as I did with Dalca, even though I still enjoyed her character a lot. The book was also pretty funny, with natural banter and moments that genuinely made me smile. The tropes were right up my alley and worked really well together, making the romance feel both engaging and comforting at the same time✨ That being said, there were a few things that didn’t fully work for me😩 I really kinda hated the nickname “kitten” - I mean no, just N.O.🙅🏽‍♀️ I also would have loved for Maya to be more honest earlier in the story, as some of the conflict felt like it could have been avoided with better communication🙃 And then there’s Billie… she kind of sucked a bit. I didn’t connect with her character, once again, and found her more frustrating than enjoyable🥲 Even with a few minor frustrations, the book remained fun, cozy, and engaging from start to finish. Honestly, I think this one is my favorite of the series so far🐴💚 . . . . Rating : 4⭐️ Spice : 2🌶️ Recommendation : ✅

6⭐️ that book was truly incredible i absolutely loved everything about this book! Mira and Stefan >>>>> i can’t even describe the love i have for this book. stefan, the man you are! the way he was obsessed with mira from the very beginning and knew he wanted her was chefs kiss. like the way he acted and behaved is everything. being so sincere and open about what he feels was so nice to read about. like, him not hiding his feeling and being so vulnerable about his past and emotions is everything what you would wish for in a man. mira my queen! i loved how she went after what she wanted even though she didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feeling. i love her for not taking bullshit and admire her do being so dedicated. she is just the perfect match for stefan. i love horses and reading about them saving baby loki made me so happy, i can’t even describe it <3 just in general the series being about horses is so nice, i love it! also the storyline with hank made me so happy! the way he previously said the he wanted nothing more than his own family and then finding out he actually has a son was the most wholesome thing in the world <3

3.5 ⭒ Did I see that this stupid conflict was coming - very much so. Made me too angry when this whole thing happened. It almost ruined the book for me because I was so angry at Stefan and he was very wrong. The resolution that forced him to reconsider his actions was too serious, so it left me wonder if his personal growth was enough to resolve the conflict without such drama. And the “oh my grandma said to go get a man, so I did that” situation was ridiculous tbh. In general, I enjoyed the story, because Mira is too much of a relatable character for me
