Rezension von KelseyI was surprised to see so many negative reviews for this book because I genuinely enjoyed it. I can be pretty critical when it comes to romance novels, but this one worked for me. Hannah and Garrett had great chemistry, and their banter felt natural and genuinely funny. I loved how Garrett supported and fought for Hannah from the very beginning, and I appreciated that Hannah was strong and capable rather than a typical damsel in distress. There were definitely some difficult topics woven into the story, particularly the rape and the abuse Garrett experienced, which could be hard to read at times. However, I thought those elements were handled in a way that added depth to the characters. One of my favorite parts was seeing how Garrett's teammates welcomed Hannah and treated her like she belonged, creating a strong sense of friendship and found family throughout the book. Overall, I found it to be an enjoyable and engaging read.
Rezension von SandyThe Deal hat mich komplett begeistert und ist definitiv eines meiner Jahreshighlights. Besonders die humorvollen Schlagabtäusche und die starke Chemie zwischen Hannah und Garrett haben mich total abgeholt. Hannahs kluge, witzige Art und Garretts Entwicklung vom „I don’t do girlfriends“-Typen waren für mich echte Highlights. Neben Humor, Spice und Romance bringt das Buch auch ernste Themen mit, die die Autorin tiefgründig und gelungen verarbeitet. Bis auf einen kleinen Kritikpunkt gegen Ende war die Geschichte für mich eine klare 10/10 und absolute Leseempfehlung.

Rezension von Mira HeimannIch bin absoluter Fan von dem Buch. Ich hatte vorher bereits von der Autorin gehört und auch etwas anderes von ihr gelesen, was mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Das Briar U Universum sagte mir jedoch bis zum Serienstart von Off Campus letzte Woche noch nichts. Nachdem mich die erste Staffel aber dann so gefesselt hat musste ich natürlich auch das Buch lesen und was soll ich sagen, noch nicht mal zwei Tage sind vergangen und ich bin fertig. Es was einfach schön zu lesen und man konnte richtig gut in die Geschichte eintauchen. Und obwohl es ja auch super viel um diesen romantischen Aspekt geht, wurden auch viele andere Themen aufgegriffen (Vergewaltigung, Alkoholkonsum, die Erwartungen von Eltern und so weiter). Ich bin jetzt auf jeden Fall super gespannt und freue mich auf die Geschichte von Logen und Grace!!!!
