Rezension von Kelly KorekI didn't know what to expect going into this one, but I dont think I expected to fall into it as deeply as I did. The narration was so unique, sprinkled in throughout the choppy stories of Liesel's life. I certainly was not expecting the ending and I certainly was feeling my emotions when it did. I have never read anything from the German perspective of WWII so I was very interested in that. At the same time, I am glad that it was a book full of good, kind German souls who I could follow. All in all, it was a very emotional and heavy book to read, especially now. But I am glad I read it and certainly would encourage others to do the same.

Rezension von Nuala SacherIch lieb dieses Buch. Man fühlt sich total emotional zu den Charakteren verbunden und die Geschichte ist, besonders wenn man sich für die Zeit des Nationalsozialismus interessiert, sehr mitreißend. Der Schreibstil ist super besonders und ich mag die Idee total, dass das Werk aus der Perspektive des Tods geschrieben ist :p
