Rezension von Anna PörnerFinde Freidas Schreibstil im englischsprachigen Original noch viel faszinierender. Inhaltlich wieder ein paar gute Twists, aber ich finde der Anfang hat sich etwas gezogen, bis überhaupt die gewohnte Thriller-Stimmung aufkam.
Rezension von SinaThe Tenant was a fun, fast-paced thriller that kept me turning the pages. The writing is very accessible, the short chapters create a great reading flow, and it makes for the perfect book if you're trying to get out of a reading slump. Don't expect a literary masterpiece—but that's not what this book is trying to be. Its main goal is to entertain, and it definitely succeeds. This was my first Freida McFadden thriller, so I can't compare it to her other books, but I thought it was a solid introduction to her work. I did end up deducting half a star because of the very final chapter. The story had already reached a satisfying conclusion, and the additional twist felt unnecessary rather than shocking. Overall, it's an entertaining thriller that's perfect if you're looking for a quick, engaging read.

Rezension von Rebecca Habe jetzt schon einige Bücher von ihr gelesen und je besser man ihre Bücher kennt, desto eher erkennt man, was wirklich hinter der Story steckt. Daher war mir auch hier wieder schnell klar, welche der Charaktere nicht so das Wahre waren. Trotzdem wie immer solide Unterhaltung, die süchtig macht. Länger als 48 Stunden habe ich noch nie mit einem ihrer Bücher verbracht 😅
