Aurorenordlys Rezension von Aurorenordlys

The book is a sci-fi/fantasy about Samantha, who leaves Earth hoping for a fresh start, but finds the alien Infinite City just as dangerous. She struggles to adapt until she meets Alkorin, a tall, strong, and charming alien who helps her. Their romance develops quickly; it’s sweet, though the intimate scenes felt awkward at first. I enjoyed the action and the humor, especially between Arc and his best friend, it was my favorite part. I liked Arc for his sarcastic, funny personality, not just because he’s “hot,” though I disliked his possessiveness and how he sometimes pushed away friends who had supported him and Samantha. Samantha’s behavior also bothered me: she escapes an abusive ex only to fall for a possessive alien who initially lies and restricts her freedom. Even if Arc becomes kind, her situation mirrors her past trauma, which felt troubling.
