After the end of the previous book, I expected the story to become much more exciting. Unfortunately, Restore Me ended up being the weakest installment in the series for me. A large part of the book revolves around drama that felt unnecessary, particularly Juliette's struggles as a leader and the fact that she is constantly underestimated by those around her. Many of the characters also seemed less mature than in previous books. What annoyed me most was the lack of communication between Juliette and Aaron. Much of their conflict stems from the fact that neither of them is willing to open up. Juliette's reactions, in particular, often felt exaggerated, and many problems could have been solved through a simple conversation. I also found the plot progression rather slow. While the writing style makes the book very easy and quick to read, it lacked emotional depth for me. For much of the first half, it felt like very little was happening, and I often found myself bored. Nevertheless, there were still some surprising revelations that genuinely shocked me, and the cliffhanger at the end was very effective. I also loved Kenji and Aaron, and I especially enjoyed seeing their friendship continue to develop. Overall, despite having a few strong moments, Restore Me was ultimately a rather disappointing sequel for me.

Juliette, wtf is going on with you?! Why are you so childish?? She really pissed me off the second half of the book but I still liked it for the plots and new faces. Maybe I cried a little at the end, who knows

What. The. Fuck. So much happened in this book im speechless. Like so speechless. What the fuck do you mean she has a sister- a family? What?! And then the picture with Aaron like what the fuck is happening I’m so stunned. The whole break up, informations, dead people, old friends… everything. I feel like I’m experiencing what I read. Wtf. I’m scared to continue..

Okay, first of all, I have to say that this is the weakest part of the series for me, despite all the plotwists that tiktok unfortunately spoiled for me. But exactly because of these spoilers, I was unsure to continue reading until I finally made it after two years! Nevertheless, there were some things that shocked me like Aaron's and Juliette's buzz cut and also the ending with the photos and Juliette's biological parents. Now that this book ended on a good cliffhanger, I will definitely read on and hope that the second book of this new era will be better. Definitely a must read!
