my favorite one of the series! Lily and Lorenzo are everything. i loved how their love and struggles were portrayed. both of them were so relatable. lily knows what she wants but struggled with rejection and fear of being too much. she is determined to show lorenzo that he wants her too but because of his own personal issues lily keeps getting hurt. what i love about her tho is that she doesn’t give up and stays true to believing in love and lorenzo to be the right person for her. she supported him through everything even when she got hurt in the process. while yes, she obviously forgave him multiple times she still made it clear that she was not unaffected by the constant rejection. she had trust issues and actually made lorenzo work for earning it back. lorenzo is such a sweet soul, i can’t. the way he struggled with his ocd and anxiety made me so sad for him all the time. he was painfully aware of his issues and tried to overcome them for lily. seeing him struggle with that and failing multiple times made him even more lovable. he gave it his all to prove to lily that he can overcome those problems and that he is enough. i loved how he showed his emotions more and more the further the book progressed. it showed that he is actually so sweet and not a grump at all. he is truly lovable and so funny as well. his dry comments and his dynamic with julian cracked me up lol. i also loved the plot of the book. their relationship struggles were a huge part of it all but lorenzo running for mayor and lily helping him doing so was so cool. it was clear from the start that their relationship was never fake, it was just a matter of time until lorenzo finally accepted that as well. the way they loved each other was everything <3 also seeing lorenzo struggle with setbacks during the campaign and him handling the whole election process was something i really enjoyed reading. i flew through this book and loved every second of it.
