Rezension von kristina This book wasn't only insightful but also very well written.This book confirmed many things I already believed in and experinced myself. Its filled with data, yes, but not in a dense way. Instead the author includes quotes, own experinces and other media examples right after the data and comments on it herself too. Every sentence felt very engaging. When I first saw the book I was a bit turned off by the page count. I felt like one can sum up the bad position of women in the world in less than 320 pages and I assumed there will be much repitition. Oh boy, having finished this book where each page is filled with multiple examples of womens discriminations, I feel like this book just scratched a surface. I would not have mineded to read another 600 pages (and tbh this could be a continuing series bc little changes for women

Ich habe viel dazugelernt, in welchen für mich vorher nicht offensichtlichen Bereichen Frauen immer noch nicht gleichberechtigt sind und wie man grundsätzlich an dieses Thema herangehen sollte. Das einzige, was man kritisieren könnte, ist, dass noch ein paar mehr Lösungsansätze aufgezeigt werden könnten, nachdem so viele Probleme erklärt wurden. Trotzdem ein sehr interessantes und vor allem sehr wichtiges Buch!

Während mir viele Themen und Ungleichheiten für Frauen bewusst sind, habe ich durch das Buch auch Einblick in andere Bereiche erhalten, auf die ich nie von alleine gekommen wäre. Dieses Buch ist nichts für Zwischendurch, sollte aber dennoch von vielen Menschen gelesen werden.
Rezension von SandraI urge everybody, regardless of their gender, to read this book! I did not consciously know about the gender data gap in research and how much it affects our daily life. As an independent and semi-confident woman and self-proclaimed feminist I found the statistics presented in this book utterly shocking. This should be a must-read for everyone so that we all know about gender-bias, gender-discrimination, gender data gaps and all the background info that leads to women still being treated as if they are a minority on this planet.
