Rezension von Isabel🐈⬛If it was possible, I would give much more than 5 stars. This book was so shocking, interesting and informative. I learned so many new things about North Korea and China I didn't know, especially the history of North and South Korea. But this was of course not the main part. Actually I'm not able to write what's in my mind right now after finishing the book. All I can say is, that I'm so shocked about Yeonmi's story and that this story is not the only one of it's kind. This is the reality for so many people everyday and sadly a lot of people going through this aren't as lucky as Yeonmi was. I think 'In Order to Live' is a great beginning to enter the topic of North Korea and it's cruelty. And not only North Korea but other countries too. So I hope a lot of people read this book and not only see that North Korea is bad, but also recognize WHY it is so cruel.
