Rezension von finchenI thought the book was super cute, almost all of the characters are to fall in love with. I disliked one character, but there usually has to be a bad guy, so... But i apprechiate how the book is not full of huge, out of proportion dramas, or misunderstandings that follow from chapter one to the last page. It's more of a inner dialog and overthinking kind of issue. It was funny and sweet, and i'd recommand it to anyone that just wants a calm afternoon with a book

Rezension von JosieRezi „Imogen, Obviously“ Titel: Imogen, Obviously Autor*in: Becky Albertalli Verlag: ONE Die 17-jährige Imogen ist der größte Ally der Welt. Sie unterstützt ihren queeren Freunde, geht zu jedem LGBTQIA+ Treffen und zu allen Pride Paraden. Aber sie ist hetero. Glaubt sie zumindest. Denn als sie ihre beste Freundin Lili am College besucht und von der erfundenen Beziehung zwischen Lili und sich selbst erfährt, ist sie sich da gar nicht mehr so sicher. Und dann ist da auch noch die charmant-chaotische Tessa, die Imogens Herz zum Rasen bringt… Becky Albertalli ist eine Autorin, die ich sehr liebe. „Love, Simon“ und die „What if it‘s Us“-Dilogie habe ich gerne gelesen und von dem her waren meine Hoffnungen bezüglich ihres neusten Buches groß! Und wie immer hat mich Becky Albertalli nicht enttäuscht: Ich habe auch „Imogen, Obviously“ total gefeiert. Zunächst ist da das wunderschöne Cover, in das ich mich augenblicklich verliebt habe. Die Farben sind ansprechend, die Illustrationen ebenso und es ist einfach hübsch anzusehen. Auch der Schreibstil war toll; flüssig und emotionale mit der richtigen Prise an Humor führt die Autorin die Leser*innen durch die Geschichte. Ich war so invested, dass ich das Buch an einem Tag, in einem Rutsch gelesen habe! Und dann noch die Charas — ahh, ich komme gar nicht mehr raus aus dem Schwärmen! Ich liebe, liebe, liebe Imogen! Sie ist einzigartig, dreidimensional und einfach greifbar. Ich mochte ihre tief gehenden Gedankengänge, ihre Unsicherheit, den Humor und ihre seltsamen kleinen Macken. Sie ist einfach ein Charakter, mit dem man sich gut identifizieren kann. Des weiteren behandelt Becky Albertalli wie in jedem ihrer Bücher wichtige Themen. Es geht in „Imogen, Obviously“ um Identitätsfindung, die erste Liebe und topics aus der LGBTQIA+ community. Da mich all dies selbst interessiert, war ich natürlich umso gefesselter. Einzig die Kirsche auf der Torte hat mir für die fünf Sterne gefehlt. Dieses letzte Bisschen, das dazu führt, dass einem das Buch für immer im Gedächtnis bleibt. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass „Imogen, Obviously“ ein Jugendbuch ist, und somit nicht mehr ganz in meine Zielgruppe fällt — ich kann es nicht genau bestimmen. Dennoch empfehle ich das Buch definitiv weiter! Alle Fans von Adam Silvera, Casey McQuiston und Anne Freytag werden es lieben!
