4,25 stars I was eager to find out how Hazel’s story continues, and I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the sequel, while I still prefer the first book in the series, this one was definitely good in its own right. Hazel is such a compelling character, and I especially appreciate her determination to pursue her ambitions in a time when women weren’t allowed to be surgeons. At moments, it made me genuinely angry to think about how many women had to face that reality, but it also highlights how important it is to acknowledge and discuss it. I’d definitely recommend giving the series a try.

Even though I didn’t enjoy every single aspect of the story I have to rate it 5/5. I read it in one sitting and was fully immersed in the regency era.

this was amazing. it was better than the first one in my opinion. this has so many twists and they had me gasping every time. the end felt a bit rushes but overall amazing duoligy.5⭐️
