Rezension von Peggy Payne At a dark, enchanting school in purgatory, we follow six students as they compete to change their fate in the afterlife. This is a dark academia fantasy that follows 6 students of Blackwood Academy as they compete in the Decennial. This event happens once a decade, and the winner gets to choose their own future. They are already dead, living in the afterlife.... where will they go from here? This is a YA book, but I really enjoyed it and look forward to the second book !
Rezension von Pascale-MarieEine Schule im Jenseits und viele viele Geheimnisse. I. V. Marie führt die Leser in eine Zwischenwelt und stellt uns sechs Protagonisten vor. Die POV‘s wechseln immer wieder, das fand ich persönlich leider eher ein Störfaktor, da man sich nicht richtig in die Charaktere hineinversetzen konnte und eher oberflächlich als dritte Person alles mitbekommen hat. Das Ende war ein Plot Twist, mit dem man nicht wirklich gerechnet hat. Insgesamt war es ein interessantes und schönes abwechslungsreiches Buch für zwischendurch, aber nichts wo ich drauf poche, den nächsten Band noch lesen zu werden.
