Rezension von EmmiYes he’s a villain. Yes he’s evil. But the way you could see him softening for her over the time made my heart melt. And the plottwists were plotting. I was reading mouth open, tears in my eyes because of how shocked I was. I ate it up.
Rezension von DesireeDer Schreibstil hat mir gut gefallen und die Bezüge zu Peter Pan waren nicht aufgesetzt, sondern clever eingearbeitet. Viele kleine Details aus dem Original lassen sich wiederfinden und geben diesem eine Tiefe. Manche Entwicklungen hätten etwas mehr Raum vertragen. Die Spice-Szenen fand ich zu Beginn sehr gelungen, im späteren Verlauf allerdings zu gewollt und sie haben mich nicht angesprochen. Mir gefällt, dass in der Story nicht einfach nur ein „Bösewicht“ präsentiert wird, sondern ein greifbarer interessanter Charakter mit Motiven. Emotional konnte ich das Ende nicht ganz mitgehen und was für mich schwierig war, ist die romantische Ebene. Für mich fühlt sich das ganze nicht wie Liebe an, sondern wie etwas Kaputtes und Destruktives, über das man sich nicht freuen kann und ich stehe nicht so auf romantisierte Gewalt in der Beziehung.
