Rezension von valentinoWhat a great book! Prior to reading this, I had seen all ten installments in the “Hellraiser” franchise, the first film of which is based on this book. Therefore I knew characters and story and how everything would play out and since Barker himself directed the adaptation, the film stays very true to its source material. But I think I like the book more. It’s quite short and very well paced, with not a single chapter that is not interesting. I enjoyed Barker’s writing style and once picked up, I had a hard time laying the book down again. Really captivating and interesting with great themes and gruesome violence. Can’t wait to rewatch the film!
