Hamide Kahraman Rezension von Hamide Kahraman

The Forbidden Wolf King concludes the Kings of Avalier series by Leia Stone. King Axil Moon of Fallenmoore is looking for a mate to rule the wolf realm alongside him. As tradition would have it, the wolves select their queen through a series of trials. All eligible candidates must compete in these deadly trials, which end with the strongest wolf standing. Zara, having had her heart broken by Axil years ago, is torn between accepting the invitation to partake in the trials and ignoring the summons altogether. Her desire for revenge gets the upper hand, and she vows to win the trials and make Axil suffer for everything he has put her through. However, things turn out to be not as black and white as Zara had thought when she learns what truly transpired all those years ago. Axil and Zara’s story is one of second chances. However, due to the rather brutal and archaic mindsets of the wolves, I was left speechless more often than not. I admit I was never team Jacob or team Tyler Lockwood / Hayley Marshall, which explains why I could not connect with Axil and Zara. The second half of the book deals with the final battle between Nightfall and the other realms. In order to defeat the Queen of Nightfall, all realms must rally together, ensuring that all previous couples make appearances in this book. It was amazing to witness how they pulled together to work towards the demise of the Queen. The chemistry between the characters was great, and the friendship that later developed between all the fierce heroines was incredible.
