Mal etwas anderes, bin kein großer Kriegsgeschichten Fan, ist aber durch das magische sehr spannend. Unglaublicher Schreibstil und bin gecatched. 🥹🫠

Ein Buch bei dem man am Anfang wirklich keine Ahnung hat worauf das alles hinausläuft und wie viel Action wirklich noch vorkommt! Es handelt sich um eine sehr originelle Liebesgeschichte, die man nicht in jedem 2. Romance Buch sieht 💝 Super schöne Zitate und Weißheiten darf man hier in dem Briefwechsel der beiden Protagonisten lesen. Man gewinnt die beiden richtig lieb. Mir hat es sehr gefallen, wie von diesem recht "normalen" Setting zur Kriegsfont geswitcht wurde. Ich finde es ist sehr realistisch beschrieben und durch das Kriegs-Thema allerdings stellenweise auch äußerst düster, emotional und Herz zerreißend. Ab gut der Hälfte des Buches war ich super gefesselt, wie es weiter gehen wird und ob Iris ihren Bruder finden wird. Das Ende des Buches habe ich so absolut nicht kommen sehen und ich bin gespannt wie es im Zweiten Band weitergeht.

Eine sehr schöne Gesichte. Kann mich den meisten Rezensionen hier nur anschließen, dass es viel Spaß gemacht hat das Buch zulesen. Ross Schreibstil lässt einen richtig in die Welt eintauchen und mit den Charakteren mitfühlen. Was mir weniger gut gefallen hat, war das letzte drittel in dem sich Iris und Roman Hals über Kopf in ihre Beziehung stürzen und es ein paar Kapitel nur um die Lovestory ging. Da es nur ein paar Kapitel waren, aber auch nur ein kleiner Kritikpunkt. Auch der Plot war zwar etwas durchschaubar, aber sehr nachvollziehbar. Was mir noch positiv hängen geblieben ist, ist das Ross sehr taktvoll über sensible Themen schreibt und man sich als Leser*in gesehen fühlt. Alles in allem ein gutes Buch und ich freue mich schon auf Band 2.

For me Divine rivals was one of the highlights. Since I finished a few series, I've read a few books, but even though each book was good, none of them took me. It was different with Divine Rivals. The way Rebecca Ross writes is phenomenal. I can't say anything other than that I became infatuated with the book. The story between the two rivals who secretly like each other and are magically connected is so cute. The connection between the two seems so pure and honest, and the book is so well done even without spicy content. I devoured every single line and often was about to shed a tear or two. I really recommend everyone to read this book. Usually I like the books that are hyped on Booktook rather less, but Divine rivals is really a beautiful story! I wish I could forget everything and read it again.
