bisher auf jeden fall der beste teil der reihe! das setting in las vegas hat mir sehr gut gefallen, genauso wie der einblick in sloanes familie. generell ist sloane mein liebster charakter und ich mochte, dass der fokus in diesem band auf ihren fähigkeiten lag. ich bin auch sehr froh dass das liebesdreieck in diesem band nicht wieder aufgegriffen wurde, sondern es jetzt wirklich nur plot-based war! auch wenn man natürlich trotzdem viel zwischenmenschliches mitbekommen hat. der zusammenhalt der truppe und wie sie gegenseitig für einander da sind ist sehr schön dargestellt ich fand das ende auch sehr krass, hätte nicht gedacht dass die autorin nochmal den bogen über alle bände spinnen kann! bin sehr gespannt wie das finale der reihe sein wird

Ein unfassbar spannender dritter Teil der Cold Case Academy Reihe, direkt aus den Casinos in Las Vegas. Von Anfang bis Ende voller Spannung und Emotionen. Ich liebe mittlerweile jedes einzelne Mitglied der Akademie und ihre Hintergrundgeschichten! Eine ganz ganz tolle Buchreihe!🌟🫆🤫

3.5! I read this book for my Young Adult Contemporary Literature Class in High School so in the following you’ll see my essay about my overall thoughts and a moral dilemma in the book. This review contains spoilers!! At the end of All In by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, the FBI, with help of the Naturals, is able to find the murderer responsible for the five deaths that happened in the Casinos. That murderer is later poisoned by an even greater murderer called “Nightshade”. Nightshade is the man who allegedly killed Cassie’s mother. However it turns out that Cassie’s mother is still alive and part of a cult. Cassie’s new mission is now to find her mother. Overall, I would give the book 3.5 stars because I found it really exciting and I was always happy to read it. I really like the characters, their relationships and the FBI setting. The only reasons I did not give it a higher rating are that I did not like the plot twist connecting the murders to hundreds of others going back to the 1800s. It just feels unrealistic to me. Above that, it did not stick with me after I finished the book, as I already forgot some parts of the resolution. This book did not really change my perspective on anything, but there was a quote I really liked and could relate to. It said “But home isn’t a place, Cassie. Home is the people who love you most.” (p. 156) I think that’s true because now that I’m away from home and on my exchange year, I realize that it is not my house and room that I miss. I miss the people there. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who liked the earlier books in the series. I would consider this series a good fit for people from the ages of 14-20 years old and I would say it is good for people who already like murder mysteries, but also a great option to start with for someone new to the genre. A moral dilemma in the book was whether Cassie should objectively focus on the case at hand or her mothers case. Throughout most of the book, Cassie chose to focus on her duty to the FBI and tried to solve the case at hand objectively. In the end, the case at hand was connected to her mother’s case as it turned out that she is part of the cult, but until then Cassie did a good job of keeping her mother separate from the investigations. I think Cassie handled it correctly as long as she will solve her mothers case in the following book. I think that because while she has a duty to help the FBI and support the other Naturals, especially Sloane, she also should not forget herself in the process. All in all, this story kept me hooked and I’m excited to see how the story continues in the next and last book.

I love the Las Vegas Vibes of the books and the story was just so amazing but my poor Sloane
