Rezension von Drea_reads„Butcher & Blackbird – Selbst die dunkelsten Seelen sehnen sich nach Liebe“ von Brynne Weaver ist eines der außergewöhnlichsten Bücher, die ich in letzter Zeit gelesen habe. Die Geschichte vereint auf einzigartige Weise schwarzen Humor, Spannung, Romance und düstere Themen zu einem absoluten Pageturner. Besonders beeindruckt haben mich die beiden Hauptcharaktere. Sloane und Rowan sind alles andere als gewöhnliche Protagonisten, und genau das macht ihren Reiz aus. Ihre Chemie ist von der ersten Begegnung an spürbar, ihre Dialoge sind witzig, schlagfertig und gleichzeitig voller Gefühl. Trotz ihrer dunklen Seiten gelingt es der Autorin, die Figuren sympathisch und authentisch wirken zu lassen. Der Schreibstil ist fesselnd, humorvoll und emotional zugleich. Immer wieder wechseln sich spannende, teilweise schockierende Szenen mit romantischen und überraschend berührenden Momenten ab. Gerade diese Mischung macht das Buch so besonders und sorgt dafür, dass man es kaum aus der Hand legen kann. Was „Butcher & Blackbird“ für mich zu einem Highlight macht, ist die Tatsache, dass es weit mehr ist als nur eine Dark Romance. Hinter der außergewöhnlichen Handlung steckt eine wunderschöne Liebesgeschichte über Vertrauen, Akzeptanz und die Suche nach einem Menschen, der einen selbst mit allen Fehlern und Abgründen versteht. Ein mutiges, originelles und unvergessliches Buch, das mich von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite begeistert hat. Für Fans von Dark Romance mit Humor und außergewöhnlichen Charakteren eine absolute Leseempfehlung!
