Die Charaktere sind alle sympathisch und liebenswert, man kann sehr gut mit ihnen mitfühlen und sie verhalten sich ihres Alters und ihrer Vergangenheit entsprechend. Ein Stern Abzug gibt es von mir für die teilweise langen Kapitel und Dialoge, in denen oft mehrmals das gleiche gesagt / gefragt wird und die Story für mein Empfinden überhaupt nicht voranbringen bzw. die Emotionen dadurch abschwächen. Einen weiteren Stern ziehe ich für die teilweise unterirdische / falsche Übersetzung ins Deutsche ab. Da hätte ich wirklich mehr erwartet. Den zweiten Teil werde ich auf jeden Fall in Englisch lesen.

Rezension von Mira HeimannIch glaube ich habe schon lange kein Buch mehr so schnell durchgelesen. Vielen vielen Dank an Lilli für das tolle Geschenk!!! Die tension zwischen den beiden im ganzen Buch war krass und obwohl es nur einen einzigen Kuss gab, war man total gebannt von dem Knistern. Auf der anderen Seite fand ich es emotional komplett heftig, also Manipulation, Mobbing, Stress und Gewalt. Gerade was Shannon in ihrer Familie passiert, ist schwer zu schlucken. Irgendwie ist es da sehr stereotypisch, dass sich der riesige, muskulöse und berühmte Rugby-Spieler Johnny ausgerechnet in das unscheinbare, verletzte, kleine Mädchen verliebt. Aber die beiden sind echt süß zusammen und ich meine nichts geht über ein gute „Who did this to you?” Szene. Auf jeden Fall muss ich jetzt den zweiten Band lesen, weil dieses Ende hat meinen Mund offen stehen lassen vor Schock. Außerdem hat die Reihe ja inzwischen auch noch einige andere Bände.
