Reviewed by Sofiaa moving and incredibly inspiring story about a young woman navigating her inner and outer life in 1950s New York City. I am unsure, however, whether Nin actually attempted a proposal of living multiple lives, of being *more*, of transcending social norms and monogamy or if it was just a way to deal with the absence of her father.

Reviewed by raniaI thought i would hate it, but i loved it. Even though i couldn’t relate to Sabina at all, i could still understand and feel for her. The way Anaïs Nin uses words is pure art.
Reviewed by Hannah A Spy in the House of Love war nicht was ich erwartet habe, aber hat mich positiv überrascht! Sabina als Protagonistin fand ich wirklich spannend. Wie sie sich verändert, je nach dem mit welchen Menschen sie zusammen ist, wie ihre Affären verschiedene Seiten ihrer Persönlichkeit hervorbringen. Gleichzeitig fand ich den Fokus auf ihre Gefühle und die Schuld, die sie in sich trägt, wenn sie ihrem Ehemann immer wieder fremdgeht, anstatt der einfachen Darstellung des Fremdgehens als unmoralische Handlung sehr interessant. Mit knapp 120 Seiten ein wirklich kurzes Buch, dass sich aber sehr zu lesen lohnt!
